Many thanks to the hundreds of guests, donors and sponsors who came out to support Mike Morton’s Retirement Party and Scholarship Fundraiser, organized by DunnTributes and a crack volunteer team (noted below). Here’s a peak at the Live Performance Tribute to our hometown hero, the imMORTal Mike Morton!
And here….is the video tribute!
Together, we were able to raise $15,000 for Morty’s new Scholarship Fund! The afternoon also featured a Video Tribute to Mort, a ‘life and times’ if you will featuring interviews with admirers such as Ron Foxcroft, Sheila Copps, Vincie Travale, Fr. Earl Talbot, Colleen Gamble, John McNamara, “H” – Morty’s mom, and even Santa Claus himself! You can purchase a copy of the imMORTal Video Tribute: Life and Times of Mike Morton by clicking here. All proceeds go to support Morty’s new sports and education scholarship fund.

A LOOK BACK AT JANUARY 10TH imMORTal EVENT!
DunnTributes, in association with the friends and colleagues of Mike Morton, was proud to present the imMORTal Mike Morton Tribute and Scholarship Fundraiser on January 10, 2010 at St. Thomas More Catholic Secondary School (STM) in Hamilton, the place where Mort’s career proudly began over 30 years ago. Watch as the lights were dimmed and STM’s gymnasium transformed into a virtual Mike Morton ‘Hall of Fame’ and party zone. The afternoon featured a show stopping Video Tribute to Morty, Live Entertainment and hot & cold hors d’eourves.
Throughout the years, Mort has touched the lives of literally thousands of students, teachers, administrators, coaches, athletes, sports associations, businesses, charities, campers, parishioners and families throughout the Hamilton area–and beyond. An estimated 400 guests came to the gala fundraiser, in honour of one of our biggest home-town heroes and his new scholarship initiative:
The event served as the first major fundraising event for the newly formed Mike Morton Sports & Education Scholarship, which will support deserving students who might not otherwise be able to participate in sporting activities, or those requiring financial aid for continuing their education. What a guy.
Thanks to our organizing committee noted below. You guys (and gals) are the best!
